1. Overview

Liberado is a personal finance app built with a privacy-first, local-first approach. Your financial data is stored on your device by default. We do not operate a Liberado server that collects your ledger, transactions, or spending details for analytics, advertising, or marketing. We do not sell your personal financial data.

3. What data the app processes

3.1 Data you enter (stored on your device)

When you use Liberado, the following may be stored locally in an on-device database:

  • Transactions and ledger entries
  • Wage, liquid assets, and financial settings
  • Recurring payments and reminders
  • Discipline streaks, walk-away counts, and badges
  • App preferences (currency, friction settings, privacy options, backup settings)

This data stays on your phone or tablet unless you choose to back it up or sync it using the optional services below.

3.2 Data stored separately (not included in cloud backup)

Your Mindful Lock PIN is stored in the device’s secure storage. It is not included in Google Drive database backups.

3.3 Optional sign-in and backup (only if you enable them)

If you use these services, Google processes sign-in and file handling under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your ledger on our own servers.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal or financial data.
  • We do not collect your transaction content into a company-owned database for analytics or ads.
  • We do not use in-app advertising or third-party analytics SDKs for tracking your spending behavior.

5. Device permissions

Liberado may request permissions needed for app features, for example:

  • Internet / network — sign-in and optional cloud backup
  • Biometrics — optional Face ID / fingerprint for Mindful Lock
  • Notifications / alarms — optional reminders for untriaged expenses

You can manage many of these in your device settings.

6. Privacy controls in the app

You can adjust privacy settings in Engine Room:

  • App-switcher shield — hides or blurs content in the recent-apps view
  • Block screenshots (Android) — helps prevent screenshots and preview thumbnails
  • Sign out — ends your Google session on the device; local data and PIN remain until you reset or uninstall
  • Reset app data — permanently deletes local Liberado data on that device

7. Data retention and deletion

  • On your device: Data remains until you reset app data, uninstall Liberado, or delete backups you created.
  • Cloud backups: Stored in your Google account until you delete them there or revoke access.
  • Uninstalling the app removes local data unless you have copies in cloud backup or another device.

8. Security

  • Financial data is stored locally on your device.
  • PIN and optional biometric unlock use on-device secure mechanisms where supported.
  • You are responsible for securing your device, PIN, and linked Google account.
  • No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; use a strong device lock and keep backups under your control.

9. Children

Liberado is intended for adults managing personal finances. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

10. International users

If you use Liberado outside your home country, your data may be processed by Google according to its policy when you enable sign-in or backup. Local data on your device remains under your control.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because Liberado stores data on your device and optional backups in your cloud accounts:

  • Local data: use in-app reset or uninstall.
  • Cloud backups: manage or delete files in your Google Drive app-data folder, or revoke Liberado’s access in your Google account settings.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of Liberado after changes means you accept the updated policy. The in-app Terms & Privacy screen may also be updated.

13. Third-party policies

Short version: Liberado keeps your finances on your device. We don’t sell your data or run a ledger analytics server. Optional Google Sign-In and Google Drive backup put a database file in your own Google account. Your PIN never leaves the device. Questions: contact@willforge.xyz
